Emotional eating is a funny thing. I think everyone is affected by stress differently. Me, I can wake up with a roaring appetite and ten minutes later be rendered speechless by upsetting news and not eat for the rest of the day.
As I mentioned Monday, this weekend was rough and things don't look like they're going to go up anytime soon. I've been upset and worried all day and therefore have pretty much had to force myself to eat. It's so weird because I KNOW that not eating isn't in any way a good thing and I need to be fueling my body, especially when I'm stressed, but I just can't do it. I have literally no appetite and I couldn't get myself to work out today either.
Anyway, I did get some food in my body, so here's how Tuesday went for WIAW #3, hosted by Jenn at Peas and Crayons :)
M1: Oats, protein powder, Truvia, granola, fruit medley, and mango almond bites all from my Naturebox.
M2: Quest Bar Protein Pop Tart! Soooo delicious!
M3: Bean and rice chips from Beanfields, which I got in my KlutchClub box, and salsa
M4: Pepper pasta
My meals yesterday were definitely not up to par :/
I didn't get many good nutrients from fruit and veggies. Now not only am I stressed out but I am feeling down about my diet and lack of motivation to exercise when I'm upset. BUT! Today is a new day. I am starting fresh and getting up early, getting a few personal things taken care of while eating a nice healthy breakfast, work out at home, start my first NASM chapter, and pull myself up from this slump. Any prayers, words of motivation, or encouragement are all welcome :) I do realize that in a time of stress my diet and exercise is going to be even more important for making myself feel better, so I'm chalking Tuesday up and moving on.
Sunday night I got the awesome opportunity to go to the Florida Georgia Line concert at the casino by my house!! Lawn tickets were $15...I mean come on! Is that an amazing deal or what?! It was a lot of fun.
Even when I'm upset my little Rodney can always put a smile on my face.
How does stress affect your eating and workout schedule? Do you eat more when you're upset/stressed or less?
